Companionship

At Flexible Community Care we recognised that help to get out and about, loneliness, or living in isolation can be a very challenging problem for the elderly and vulnerable adults. Sometimes the demands of work and distance may mean that family or representatives are unable to visit regularly. In some cases family or friends may not be there to fall back to for companionship when needed. We recognise that loneliness and living in isolation can pose a real risk to vulnerable people including boredom, the fear of others, low self-esteem, feeling unsafe at home and psychological injury. However, with Flexible companionship, these risks can be minimised. Our carefully selected and vetted carers are trained and supported to provide companionship and depending on the choice of care package, this can include light domestic work and accompaniment to doctors and hospital appointments, social activities and short holiday breaks away from home.
